Zing Tip #4: Think Investment Instead of Cost-Savings
Sometimes it’s a budget decision but other times too many people are trying to get by on the cheap.
For example, yes the big warehouse stores will sell you a cheap 10’x10’canopy tent you can use at outdoor events. Great. Now you can set yours up in a sea of other white canopy tents. Visitors walking through the event will see a lot of white vinyl. How will they know what you do unless they happen to walk right by your tent and stop?
Now spend $750-$1000 more to have a branded canopy tent. Suddenly, your tent becomes visible from a distance. The color will attract visitor eyes. The branding might tell them what you sell or do. A branded wall attached to the tent can offer more information for people walking by, doing some of your selling for you.
How many times will you use that canopy? How many sales will it take to cover the added cost of better promotion? Don’t forget that some of that becomes repeat business. You want and need visitors to your tent. Branding helps to get them there.
And don’t underestimate the value of better quality hardware with longer warranties. A lighter weight aluminum that makes carrying and setting up the canopy tent easier will be a welcome relief when you’re the one doing it.
